Internet Pinball Database link for Lord of the Rings.
This is my very first New in the Box game.
This is the Limited Edition model, built on December 15th, 2009. This is #208 of 240. (Stern has run 240 of the full 500 at this time.) It was bought through Jack at Pinballsales.
Special features include:
- Real glass backglass with gold mirrored trim.
- Gold trim package. Side rails, hinges, backbox trim,
speaker panels, lockdown bar, legs and leg bolts.
- Playfield signed by Gary Stern and George Gomez.
- Shaker motor support.
- Limited edition plaque.
- Certificate of Authenticity.
This game uses the Whitestar II board, with a SAM driver board. ROM version is 10.02.
Many owners are modding these games. I'm no exception. I have so far:
- Added the 12 action figures back. (including Gandalf the white on Shadowfax.
- Added Tom Wibbles Clear Ring Shooter Rod.
- Added the stand up target stickers.
- Added Pinzero Glare guard.
- Added clear Pincab leg protectors.
- Added Shaker Motor.
- Pinball Pal's stealth protectors on both flipper and start button.
- Pinball Pal's backbox warming filter.
- Pinbits Plastic Protector set.
- Matt McKee topper added.
- Under cabinet lighting added.
- Backbox Eye flasher mod added.
- Army of the Dead figures added to the Paths of the Dead.
- Assorted color changes on some bulbs.
I am very pleased with this game. The rule set is awesome. One of the best Stern has ever made. a game made by players, for players.
After playing it a while, I'm beginning to understand the rule set. My problem is making the shots I need to. So far my high score is 125 Mil.
