I bought this one from a downstate Op. I paid a bit of a premium for this one, because of the unfaded cabinet. Dr Who's generally suffer from faded reds on the cabinet art.
I recently shopped this game, and the results look good. The speaker panel has been replaced, as the original was scratched. The speakers have been upgraded. There were also the usual opto issues in the mini-playfield to fix. Rubber has been switched to white, and the color of the flipper rubber has been changed. It also has Cliffy's colored post sleeves.
I have fitted this unit with one of Al Warners wobble head kits. there is a video on the right, showing it in action.
I also used this unit for an experiment in LED conversion. There is a short video on the right, showing the effect. Conclusion: LED's for G.I. lighting still needs some work.
Game play is tough, with many possible strategies available. Defeating Davros is the key to good scores.
