Internet Pinball Database Link for Black Knight
This unit was bought from a local game shop. I bought it working, but unshoppped.
This game was flaky for the longest time, until I went through a fair amount of work to re-pin all the power connectors, redo the 40 pin connector, and rebuild the power supply. I also did Clays Repair Guides recommended updates.
I have a chunk into this game. Since I got it, I have added a new Mayfair backglass, as well as playfield and plastics from Classic Playfield Reproductions, as well as the usual shop out parts. The cabinet is in pretty good shape.
The CPR playfield has blue inserts that are too dark. I have added LED's to balance the blue lighting. Otherwise, I'm very happy with the CPR playfield.
To the right is a short video showing the new playfield in attract mode.
Game play is fast and challenging. The clear coated playfield, coupled with rebuild flipper mechs, make this a wicked game. Multi-ball is the key to a good score. The many first-ever features, like multi-level, magna-save, timed drop targets, and bonus ball make it a true classic.
